Rehanne Skinner was wowed by what midfielder Jed Wallace did in the West Brom game against Rotherham United on Tuesday (12 December).

Speaking on Sky Sports News (09:34 p.m.), the pundit said it was a “great strike” from the Albion captain as he found the back of the net with a free-kick.

That effort from the 29-year-old in the 90th minute ensured the Baggies went away from the New York Stadium with a 2-0 victory and all three points.
“West Brom got a free-kick and, to be honest, it was half a yard from being a penalty,” said Skinner. “It was so close to the edge of the box.

“See Jed Wallace on the ball here and it was his or Alex Mowatt, but he’s actually struck this ball so well that it’s hit the underside of the bar and given Johansson no chance really. He’s curled it over the wall; you can see it from this angle. It’s a great strike.”

It was an excellent free-kick from Wallace, as he put West Brom ahead to ensure the last few minutes weren’t as nervy as they could have been.

The midfielder has plenty of quality in his locker and he will have been delighted to get on the scoresheet following his return from injury against Rotherham.

He will now be looking to add to his total for the campaign after registering three goals and three assists in his 19 appearances so far this season.

It was a massive victory for Albion, as it was extremely important that they got back to winning ways following the defeats to Leicester City and Sunderland.

Carlos Corberan will now be looking for his side to regain their momentum over the next few weeks as they prepare to face Stoke City on Sunday (17 December).
