After Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-1 triumph over Newcastle United on Sunday, Tottenham captain Son Heung-Min heaped praise on one Newcastle United player.
The South Korean attacker was absolutely brilliant, causing Kieran Trippier yet another nightmare in a Newcastle shirt.
Just days after battling badly against Everton, the 33-year-old had another difficult game for Eddie Howe’s team.
Son Heung-Min outplayed Trippier on numerous occasions, with the Toon defender’s mistakes resulting to two of Tottenham’s goals.
It was a bad day for the England international, who also received his sixth booking of the season. As a result, he will be suspended for the game against Fulham next weekend. He will, however, be available to play in the Champions League against AC Milan on Wednesday night.
Trippier will need to improve against the Serie A giants, but Son, who was once teammates with Newcastle’s number two, has heaped praise on him.

Son talked to Sky Sports following Tottenham’s resounding victory. He was asked how it felt to play against Trippier, his old Spurs colleague.
“Tripps is one of my closest friends and we had a fantastic time here, but when you play against each other there is no friends,” he went on to say.
