Nottingham Forest have accepted a proposal from a Brazilian club for their 29-year-old player, a journalist confirms.

Internacional now believes they will beat Nottingham Forest to get Gustavo Scarpa in January.

The Reds loaned away the Brazilian player throughout the summer, but he has yet to make an impact at Olympiacos.

Scarpa joined Forest in the January 2023 transfer window, although he struggled to make an impact at the City Ground.

He only appeared in 10 games for the Reds and did not score a single goal.

Scarpa was praised by Ian Wright following his performance in last season’s 2-0 win over Leicester.

Scarpa is now being pursued by Internacional.
According to reports, Internacional are now more confident in their ability to sign Scarpa from Forest.

Jorge Nicola has shared on YouTube that the Brazilian outfit is expected to get their man after another offer.

Internacional were thwarted in their last efforts to sign the player, but now they have renewed confidence.

It’s believed that an offer of £3.5 million has been accepted by Forest, and Internacional will now just have to thrash out personal terms.

Forest right to sell Scarpa

The 29-year-old was just lacking that little bit of quality when it came to performing in the Premier League.

It’s been claimed for a while that a number of Brazilian clubs were keeping tabs on him, but some clubs are out of the race.

According to Vamo Sao Paulo, there is absolutely no chance that they will land Scarpa from Forest when the window reopens.

For many clubs in his homeland, the £35,000-a-week wage that he earns has deterred them from pursuing the player.

Forest hasn’t really seen the best of Scarpa during his time at the City Ground, and selling him now feels like the only option.

The attacker will leave with the best wishes of the Forest fans, but things haven’t really worked out for him in Europe.
