Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Pedro Neto has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux in recent times, with Arsenal said to be keen on a transfer

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has opened up on his future amid talk of a potential transfer to Arsenal. The Gunners were heavily linked with a move for Neto back in the summer of 2022 but a deal failed to materialise.

Speculation has again been rife recently, with Mikel Arteta’s side said to still be keen on the Portugal international. But the player himself has claimed that he is happy at Molineux, remaining coy when asked about his future away from Wolves.

“I want to say that I am here and I will help everyone,” he told the Telegraph. “I love the club and everybody here, I have always felt that it has given a lot to me.

“I’m enjoying the moment here so I will continue to do that. The future and long-term ambitions don’t matter.

“We will never go down in any situation, we are here to win and fight. I feel really good at the moment and hope to continue.”

The report also claimed that not long before the interview, Neto told Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs that he wouldn’t push for a move in the January transfer window. Neto has enjoyed a hugely successful start to the 2023/24 campaign, scoring once in the Premier League and providing a further six assists from just nine league outings.
