‘Likely to happen’: Top Italian Pundit drops worrying transfer update on 23-year-old Wolves player.

The weekend saw Wolves winger Pedro Neto return in action, and reporter Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the star’s future.

Wolves and Aston Villa played to a 1-1 tie, with Neto setting up Hwang Hee-chan’s goal.

The Portuguese played brilliantly once more.

Before locating Hwang for a first-time finish in the box, he drove around Pau Torres, fully left him for dead.

That was Neto’s fifth assist in the Premier League this year.

No player in the competition has more.

Perhaps inevitably, there has already been some speculation about a potential move away from Molineux.

And Romano has today provided an update on the player’s future…
Fabrizio Romano gives transfer update on Pedro Neto after another contribution for Wolves
Just in the recent weeks, there has been mention of Arsenal ramping up their interest in Neto.

They have liked the player for a fairly long time.

Seemingly, they could potentially come calling soon. The very reliable Romano believes that something should happen with Neto before much longer. He says a departure is likely next summer.

Writing for his Daily Briefing, Romano said: “We’re still seeing plenty of rumours about Pedro Neto, and as I said last week, things are likely to happen for the Portuguese winger in 2024 in terms of a transfer.

Wolves said no to proposals in the summer, and there is no guarantee that they will approve a sale in January, but let’s see about 2024, whether that’s January or the summer, because clubs will arrive.

“Arsenal wanted Neto just over a year ago. They’ve always been interested in the player and they keep tracking him, but there are also other clubs following the situation. He’s always been on the list for Arsenal but it’s nothing more concrete just yet, and the race looks to be absolutely open.”
Neto could well leave Wolves next summer
It’s very possible that Neto could leave Wolves next summer if things carry on as they are.

He is an outstanding player, and big teams are going to come calling.

And it may be that Wolves are just not in a position to turn down a huge offer.
You would imagine Wolves may need some form of European football to offer Neto to convince him to stay.

Obviously there is a lot of football left to play this season. But it would be a surprise if teams did not come calling for Neto.
