BIRMINGHAM CITY MIDFIELDER FINN PENS NEW TWO-YEAR DEAL
Birmingham City midfielder Jamie Finn has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this morning.
Finn has spent the last two seasons with Birmingham City after joining the club from SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division side Shelbourne in summer 2021. The midfielder has made 56 appearances for Birmingham City in all competitions while she was an ever-present for the club last season.
The Republic of Ireland international has an important role to play for Birmingham City in the upcoming season and the club have moved to secure her services for the next two years.
Birmingham City have now retained 11 members of their 2022/2023 squad, a team which came agonisingly close to winning promotion. The familiar look to the Blues squad could help the club carry on their momentum from last season into the new campaign. The club have also added well in the transfer market, bringing in Ellie Mason, Charlie Devlin, Charlotte Clarke and Katie Dungate so far.
Darren Carter’s side are scheduled to begin the new season with a fixture against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday 26 August 2023. The Blues are likely to kick-off the new campaign as one of the favourites for promotion.
