Changes will be made by Gareth Ainsworth for QPR’s Wednesday match at Leeds.
A knee injury sustained during Saturday’s home loss to Coventry has forced defender Morgan Fox to miss the game while Jack Colback is expected to serve his ban again.
Boss Ainsworth concurred that failure highlighted the necessity of reforms.
Do we need to make a few changes, he asked? In my opinion. I believe I’ll need to adjust perhaps one or two items.
We return on Wednesday with no issues. With no pressure, we have Leeds. Because QPR is an ex-Premier League team, everyone anticipates a thrashing.
“I still have faith in this group. I still have faith in what we have.
Queens Park Rangers boss Gareth Ainsworth sees his side’s visit to Elland Road to face Leeds United this evening as something of a free hit, insisting the pressure is all on the hosts. The Rs head up the M1 sitting in the Championship relegation zone and will be up against a Leeds side licking their wounds following Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Southampton.
Ainsworth’s side have performed better on the road this season, earning seven of their eight points away from Loftus Road, something Farke pointed out in his pre-match press conference, while Leeds only have one league win in front of their home fans so far this campaign, again suggesting that this match could be closer than the table suggests.
And while Ainsworth admitted that he is likely to tweak his line-up tonight, his pre-match media manoeuvring was to pile the pressure onto the hosts.
