Confirms Brilliant Forward Will Be ‘Unavailable’ For Mansfield Clash

BARROW AFC striker Courtney Duffus is set to ‘unavailable’ for the Bluebirds clash with Mansfield Town, Wild confirms.

The 27-year-old forward joined Barrow from local rivals Morecambe in the summer transfer window and is set to miss the Bluebirds’ trip to the One Call Stadium this weekend due to a ‘sore ankle’.

Wild also confirmed that B Team midfielder Owen Bray will not feature in Barrow’s traveling squad due to a hip injury.

He said: “Courtney Duffus has got a sore ankle; he has been out for a week or so and Owen Bray from the B Team has got a sore hip so those two will be the ones that will be unavailable this weekend.”

Wild also shared positive updates on Ben Whitfield and Mazeed Ogungbo, with the pair yet to feature for the Bluebirds this season due to Achilles and Knee injuries respectively.

However, the Bluebirds boss confirmed that both players were back in full training but nit yet at full match readiness.

He said: “Ben and Mazeed are now back in training so it is now up to us to decide when they are football fit or football ready to join the squad, so they are both back in full training with us.”
