Sandro Tonali admits he felt 10 per cent of emotion upon his brief return to the San Siro on Monday evening but the other 90 will arrive when he steps out at his former stomping ground in less than 24 hours time.
Tonali is back at AC Milan significantly sooner than anticipated after leaving the Italian giants in an emotional move in the summer. The 23-year-old is poised to start against the team he supports as Newcastle return to the Champions League for the first time in two decades.
“I think I’m going to feel the emotion tomorrow at 90 per cent,” he told reporters inside the San Siro. “Today it’s at 10 per cent. I’ve met some people I’m familiar with at Milan and have been in touch with them.

“It’s hard emotions because they don’t happen all the time in football. They’re special and I’ll remember them forever. This is the team I support and the team that gave me a chance to succeed.
