Revealed: Bantams Players who have clocked up the most minutes this season
HARRY Lewis is the only City player to have started all 10 games this season.
The campaign is just over six weeks old but nobody other than the ever-present goalkeeper has featured in every first 11.
While Lewis has continued his run of playing every minute between the posts since he signed, Mark Hughes has employed 25 different names in front of him.
Injuries have forced the Bantams manager’s hand with key absentees such as Andy Cook and Alex Pattison. But the changes also highlight the inconsistent nature of the performances.
Ciaran Kelly had been picked to start every game up until the weekend. But he was omitted completely for Harrogate’s visit to Valley Parade.
The Irishman did not even make the 18-man squad as Hughes reverted to playing four at the back from the previous system of three centre halves.
Matty Platt and Richie Smallwood are the only outfield duo to have featured in every game.
Platt has played the most minutes behind Lewis, having been on the pitch solidly since coming on as a sub midway through the second half at Crawley on opening day.
Captain Smallwood was benched for the Crewe game before replacing Kelly after 66 minutes.
But he has been subbed five times, including Saturday when his departure was cheered by a section of home fans.
Sam Stubbs missed the season-opener but has started every game since.
