Arsenal backed to sign Brentford Creative Premier League star striker in January who would ‘score more than Jesus’
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been backed to sign a striker from a Premier League rival in January.

Arsenal have been backed to raid Brentford for Ivan Toney in the January transfer window. Formers Gunners academy star Jay Bothroyd says the Bees forward would score more goals than Gabriel Jesus if he made the move to north London.

Toney is currently banned from playing for breaching FA betting rules. The 27-year-old was slapped with an eight-month suspension in May to rule him out of the first half of this season.

He will be able to return to training with Brentford on September 17 but won’t be allowed to play until January 16 next year. Only two players scored more goals for Toney in the English top flight last term.
