JUST IN: Charlton Athletic Interim Boss Gives Injury Update On Ipswich Skilful 25-year-old
Charlton Athletic suffered defeat in the EFL Trophy last night, losing 4-3 away at League Two outfit Crawley Town.
It was another poor defensive display for Charlton Athletic who remain without a permanent manager following the sacking of Dean Holden last month.

The Addicks took the lead twice in the game but conceded two second half goals to eventually lose 4-3, handing the London club their sixth defeat of the season so far.

And it was another game which summer signing Panutche Camara missed out.

The midfielder joined on loan from Ipswich Town over the summer and featured in Charlton’s opening five matches, having since missed the last four through a rather unknown injury.

And when asked for an update on the matter, Charlton’s interim boss Jason Pearce said:

“There is not too much to say on Pan. I’m hoping he’s not out too long – we’ve got a little bit of time until the next league game. I’d be hopeful he will be back but I can’t give a definite answer on that one.”

What next for Camara?
Camara looked like a very good signing for Charlton, with the Addicks beating a number of clubs to the signing.

And his current injury looks like a very ominous one with nobody giving too much away, suggesting that it could be a potentially longer-term injury.

Pearce’s comments suggest that it’s not exactly a short-term one and so it could be a nervous wait for the club and indeed Camara to find out the extent of the injury.

Up next for Charlton is a trip to high-flying Stevenage later this month – the Addicks sit in 16th place of the table as things stand, and a full seven points behind Stevenage in 3rd.
