Following the Duke Blue Devils’ stunning  loss to the Houston Cougars in the Final Four, attention quickly shifted to Cooper Flagg. Widely projected as the top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, many were eager to hear what the star forward planned to do next. Flagg delivered a standout freshman season, propelling Duke to the Final Four and living up to the immense expectations placed on him.

However, when asked recently about his draft intentions, Flagg didn’t give a definitive answer, hinting he may not be ready to leave Duke just yet. “I’m just taking time to evaluate and reflect,” he said. “It was an incredible year filled with amazing people and relationships that will last a lifetime. I just need some time—whether that’s a few days, a week, or longer—to talk it over with my parents and coaches and figure out what’s best for me.”

Though Flagg hasn’t made any announcements, he’s well aware of the buzz surrounding his future. He acknowledged the media speculation but made it clear he’s doing his best to tune it out. “That’s just part of it,” he said. “People are always going to have opinions—good and bad. I’m just trying to stay grounded, be myself, and take it one day at a time.”

During the 2024-25 season, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 48.1% from the field. As he weighs his decision, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see whether he enters the 2025 NBA Draft.
