George Saville, a teammate, has praised Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic for his performance in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Luton Town.
At Kenilworth Road, the Serbian international, who was a club record acquisition at the close of the summer transfer window, scored a fantastic goal to give new head coach Alex Neil his first win.

He got us up the field and connected the game nicely, but he was a nuisance all day. He was excellent.
As a team, we were excellent. We performed admirably on the first and second balls, which are the nasty parts of the game. That aspect of the game would be crucial, the coach stated. We managed to play a little and generate some decent opportunities.
“We’ve had a difficult run in terms of injuries and results, but we need to persevere. We should have crossed the finish line on Tuesday, but we didn’t (Cardiff equalized late). It was an excellent performance today.
