The next big issue now that Pete Carroll has been appointed as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders is who will be Carroll’s starting quarterback going forward.
Naturally, the initial rumors have focused on a few of Carroll’s former quarterbacks from his Seattle Seahawks days. Some insiders close to Carroll and Wilson believe a Las Vegas coupling is feasible, and the player and coach would be open to the notion, according to reports from Silver and Black Pride, among other publications.

Will Russell Wilson join the Raiders when they sign Pete Carroll?
According to various media rumors, Smith may be a trade candidate for the Raiders if the Seahawks decide not to extend his contract.
Wilson, a 36-year-old free agent, would certainly be less expensive than Smith but would also likely be a temporary solution.
Smith, 34, could be able to play a little longer than Wilson, but he might cost Las Vegas trade compensation and likely a larger deal.
