Breaking: Buffalo Bills Cut Ties with Big-Bodied Top Player Due To.

The Buffalo Bills have released Deon Cain after initially adding him to their practice squad following the initial roster cuts on Wednesday. With the addition of former Denver Broncos receiver Jalen Virgil, the Bills needed to make space, leading to Cain’s departure. Cain had joined the Bills after a standout season with the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL.

Cain spent two seasons with the Stallions, working to return to the NFL. Although he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, he wasn’t re-signed to their practice squad. The Bills gave him another opportunity, but he ultimately didn’t make the cut. Throughout his NFL career, Cain has been with six different teams.

Selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, Cain began his NFL journey in Indianapolis. After one full season, he was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019 due to injuries in their wide receiver corps. Cain made some notable plays alongside Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges.

In 2020, the Steelers let him go, and he joined the Baltimore Ravens but was released from injured reserve after suffering a training camp injury. The Eagles then signed him, and he spent parts of 2021 and 2022 with them before moving to the USFL’s Stallions when no NFL training camp opportunities arose.

While with the Stallions, Cain earned MVP honors in the USFL Championship Game for catching three touchdowns and made a significant impact. Now 28, Cain has won consecutive championships with the Stallions and will need to decide his next move following his release from the Bills.
