Teenage Sensation Among Reinforcements Back At Lions Practice.

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs and cornerback Terrion Arnold have returned to practice, joining a growing list of key players getting healthy just in time for Detroit. Head coach Dan Campbell reported that Gibbs and Sam LaPorta were back on the field Sunday, both recovering from hamstring issues. Arnold also practiced on Sunday following a pectoral injury, and guard Kevin Zeitler rejoined the team on Monday. Campbell noted that Gibbs is progressing well and is likely to be ready for the Week 1 primetime game against the Rams at Ford Field. Last season, Gibbs rushed for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie, and also had 52 receptions for 316 yards and a touchdown. Rookie cornerback Ennis Rakestraw was anticipated to practice on Monday, and Campbell mentioned there’s a “good chance” the Lions will have most of their roster available for the season opener. Arnold and Rakestraw were the Lions’ top two picks in the 2024 draft.Detroit Lions put identity on display in win over Los Angeles Chargers
