Green, who went undrafted in 2015, has had a varied career in the NBA. He initially played overseas before joining the Boston Celtics’ Summer League team in 2019. That led to a two-year contract with the Celtics, where he played 72 games in the regular season. In 2021, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls, where he made a significant impact during his first full season, playing 65 games and starting 45, earning fan admiration for his energetic play and spectacular dunks. Last season, Green began in the G League but joined the Bulls later in the year, averaging a career-high 12.2 points per game on 60% shooting in the final part of the season.The Pelicans’ decision to sign Green, rather than focusing on improving their center position, has raised some eyebrows.
