That’s great to hear! The Yankees hosting a free pregame Medical Check Up For Fans.

The New York Yankees are hosting a free skin cancer screening event for fans attending their game against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday, August 22. The screenings will be available from 11:30 a.m., when the stadium gates open, until the 1:05 p.m. first pitch. They will be held on the 200 Level Concourse between the New Era Team Store and Section 223.

These screenings are free and available on a walk-up basis—no reservations needed. However, attendees will need a valid ticket for the game to enter the stadium.

The screenings will be conducted by Yankees Team Dermatologist Dr. Darrell Rigel, along with dermatology professionals from New York University and Mount Sinai. This annual event, open to guests as well as Yankees employees and stadium staff, emphasizes the importance of early skin cancer detection.

Yankees Hall of Fame Manager Joe Torre will join Dr. Rigel in the YES broadcast booth during the top of the third inning to discuss the significance of early detection with broadcasters Michael Kay and Paul O’Neill.
