Law brings a wealth of experience, having managed Alfreton Town for a decade and also led Bradford City in the EFL. Despite his recent role as a recruitment chief at Burnley, Law is no stranger to the managerial hot seat. As a former player for Barnsley and Rotherham United, he hung up his boots in 1997.

His goal with Matlock is clear: to elevate the team’s performance from their 15th-placed finish in the Northern Premier League Premier Division last season. Law emphasizes the importance of community and fan engagement, expressing his excitement to be part of a well-established club like Matlock.

In terms of gameplay, Law prioritizes winning above all else but also stresses the significance of players giving their all on the field. He plans to assess the current squad and make decisions regarding who stays and who goes, aiming to build a competitive team capable of challenging for titles while also ensuring long-term sustainability. Tough decisions are part of the job, but Law is ready to take on the challenge.
