Last season, the Miami Dolphins boasted the most formidable offense in the league, but their performance turned frosty during their playoff defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs, both literally and metaphorically.
Venturing into the freezing temperatures of Missouri, Tua Tagovailoa and his teammates struggled to gain momentum. Reflecting on that challenging day, star offensive lineman Terron Armstead confessed that the cold was simply unbearable. 
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Armstead revealed that it was unlike anything he had ever experienced in his career. Despite the official temperature being -4 degrees, the Illinois native described it feeling like a bone-chilling negative 99 degrees. The extreme cold even led to some fans suffering from frostbite, making it the fourth-coldest game in NFL history.
Armstead expressed regret over their cold spell at the end of the season, acknowledging that it cost them the opportunity to clinch the division and host playoff games at home instead of traveling to face the eventual champions.
With heightened expectations for the upcoming season, the Dolphins are determined to avoid a repeat of such a debacle, especially with the emergence of the New York Jets as another contender in the AFC East. Understanding that weather can be a significant factor in the game, they aim to secure home-field advantage by staying in South Florida for postseason matches.
