Chukwueze denied two goals against sassuolo because of what the referee did

Samuel Chukwueze found the back of the net twice during AC Milan’s 3-3 draw with Sassuolo today, but doubts arose due to the semi-automatic offside system.

In the first half, Milan believed they had taken a 2-1 lead when Chukwueze headed a cross into the far corner, but the offside flag was raised, and VAR confirmed the decision, though it was a close call.

Replays indicated that Chukwueze was deemed offside because his shoulder was marginally beyond the last defender, although it was challenging to discern from the camera angle. Chukwueze scored again in the second half with a remarkable shot from outside the box that hit the far post after a well-timed run, but VAR intervened once more, disallowing the goal.

The reasons for the second disallowed goal were less clear, even with the semi-automatic system in place to ensure correct decisions. Despite this, Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor managed to score, securing a 3-3 draw for Milan. However, instances like these highlight how close they came to securing a memorable comeback victory.
