Let’s analyze the final games played in the NFL regular season in 2023.
RB Bijan Robinson: Robinson, who was taken by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the NFL Draft this spring, had 11 carries for 28 yards, 7 receptions for 103 yards, and a touchdown. As Atlanta progressed through the regular season, Robinson’s use fluctuated during his rookie season. It’s still up as of right now. That appears to be the case going forward, as Robinson hopes to build on his already exceptional standing in his second NFL season.
Roschon Johnson, RB: The first-year pro managed five carries for 20 yards in his most recent game for the struggling Chicago Bears.
TE Andrew Beck: The former Longhorn, a kind of large man gadget, once again started at fullback for the Houston Texans. Two receptions for nine yards and a touchdown were noted by him.
Sam Cosmi, OL: The offensive lineman for the Washington Commanders began his career at right guard.
Charles Omenihu, DL: The starting defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs recorded a forced fumble, a sack, two solo tackles, and a quarterback hit. Omenihu of Kansas City is still a formidable opponent for opposition offensive lines when they take on the inconsistent Chiefs.
Keondre Coburn, DE: The defensive lineman for the Tennessee Titans made one single tackle.
Ta’Quan Graham, DE: The starting defensive lineman for the Atlanta Falcons recorded two tackles.
Moro Ojomo: The Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman has one solo tackle and two total tackles.
DE Joseph Ossai of the Cincinnati Bengals had his best game at the end of the regular season with three tackles (one solo), one tackle for, two quarterback hits, and a pass defensed.
Jordan Hicks, LB: Hicks, the standout mid-level defender for the Minnesota Vikings, came back to log seven stops, four of which were solo.
Quandre Diggs, Database: As he has done all regular season long in 2023, starting at safety, the Seattle Seahawks had a fantastic performance over the weekend. He finished the day with six total tackles, four of which were solo, one tackle for loss, and one special team tackle.
PJ Locke, DB: The starting safety for the Denver Broncos recorded four tackles (two solo). It was Locke’s method of capping off another excellent outing in the previous few weeks.
Brandon Jones, DB: The defensive back for the Miami Dolphins racked up 8 tackles, including 6 solo stops and 2 tackles for loss. All in all, it was a fantastic experience for the Dolphins’ reserve players.
Brenden Schooler, DB: The defensive back for the New England Patriots made one tackle on special teams.
DeShon Elliott, DB: Over the weekend, the Miami Dolphins safety was happy to receive another game-time start. To cap off his 15-star regular season performance, the veteran of the secondary had an impressive outing, recording 10 tackles (6 solo), a tackle for loss, an interception, 7 passes deflected, and a fumble recovery.
Michael Dickson, the first-stringer for the Seattle Seahawks and former Longhorn, had five punts for 258 yards on the afternoon, averaging roughly 51 yards per punt.
Cameron Dicker, K: Known in Austin as “Dicker the Kicker,” the Los Angeles Chargers kicker completed four out of four field goals on the day, including a 49-yarder.
Justin Tucker, K: A member of the Baltimore Ravens and a Longhorn legend, Tucker went 0 for 1 on field goals, including a 38-yarder, and 0 for 1 on point-after attempts. Tucker has been one of the NFL’s best kickers in recent years.
