West Ham have revealed an official move to sign a ‘devastating’ talent compared to Mohamed Salah…

West Ham have reportedly made an approach to sign Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson, who has been in excellent form this season.

Gudmundsson, an Icelandic international, has been one of Genoa’s standout players this season, scoring ten goals and assisting three times across all competitions.

This form has sparked interest from the Premier League, with Tottenham allegedly interested in signing the 26-year-old winger in January.

However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham have made a move to sign Gudmundsson, despite Genoa rejecting any potential deal this winter.

According to the source, the Serie A club is prepared to lose another major player this January, with Genoa close to selling Radu Dragusin to Tottenham.

Kevin Strootman described Gudmundsson as a ‘devastating’ winger, and he could have been an excellent addition to West Ham this January, but it appears like this is one transaction that will not go through.

With Strootman comparing Gudmundsson to Mohamed Salah, it’s evident that the Iceland superstar has had a significant impact at Genoa this season.

And the winger would have been an ideal addition for West Ham, especially because Jarrod Bowen is expected to miss the next few weeks due to injury.

However, given that Genoa has already lost one major player to the Premier League this month, it’s understandable that the Serie A club wants to keep its top striker.
