West Ham make move for exciting player – 10 goals, 3 assists, among ‘best in his role’ this season

Albert Guðmundsson of Genoa is a star player, and West Ham United is willing to pay the Serie A club €20 million to recruit him in the winter transfer window, according to a report from Calciomercato.it two months ago.

In January, Gianluca Di Marzio offered an update on West Ham’s endeavors to attempt to sign the 26-year-old this month.

Although Guðmundsson has been utilized primarily behind the striker this season, despite his preference to play on the wing, he has 10 goals and 3 assists in 19 appearances.

The Hammers have reportedly “made a move” to hire him in January after becoming aware of his outstanding performances. Regarding whether David Moyes’ team has submitted a bid for the Iceland international, the story is vague.

They do, however, claim that the Italian team has “rejected every attempt” to recruit the attacker from the UEFA Conference League winners.

Among the “best in his role” in Serie A, Guðmundsson leads his team in scoring this season. As a result, Genoa has obstructed West Ham’s attempt to hire the player and is unwilling to let go of him.

The Hammers will need to exert more effort.
