West Ham sustained four additional injuries in their dreadful match…

David Moyes has revealed that West Ham suffered four fresh injuries in their FA Cup defeat to Bristol City.

West Ham do not need any more injuries or games right now.

But that is exactly what the Hammers have received following their FA Cup third round draw at home against Bristol City.

Things seemed bright in the West Ham garden as Lucas Paqueta set up Jarrod Bowen to open the scoring in front of a capacity 62,500 crowd at the London Stadium.

But that was it for David Moyes and his team in what turned out to be a Hammers nightmare.

West Ham have four additional injuries, according to Moyes.
The game ended 1-1, adding another fixture to West Ham’s burgeoning schedule in the form of a replay next week at Ashton Gate.

Paqueta was hurt after only 10 minutes and was replaced by defender Konstantinos Mavropanos before halftime.

Hammers’ nightmare injury

West Ham’s woes were compounded when top scorer Bowen collapsed in agony with what appeared to be a severe ankle injury at the end of the game.

With Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd sidelined until next month, Thilo Kehrer sent to Monaco, and Michail Antonio suffering an ankle setback, West Ham have had a difficult start to the new year after a dreary 0-0 stalemate at home against Brighton.

However, it appears that things could become worse.

Because, according to Moyes, West Ham may have sustained four fresh injuries in the terrible FA Cup match.

Moyes verified the injury on West Ham’s website following the game, and stated Vladimir Coufal had also had a knock after several harsh challenges.

“The injuries happened and it’s football and you have to live with it when it happens,” Moyes was quoted as saying.

“You will sustain injuries and must deal with them.” We’ve been fortunate this season in that we haven’t had many injuries, but tonight we just felt like we had one or two.

“Vladimr (Coufal) was also taken aback by a couple of challenges, but we’ll look into it and hopefully they’ll be fine.” We got a few bumps and bruises, but that’s to be expected this time of year.”
