The Fulham manager, Marco Silva, acknowledges that he does not know if Tosin Adarabioyo and Joao Palhinha would be traded during this month’s transfer window.
As his current contract expires at the end of the current campaign, Tosin has declined to sign a new one.
The former Manchester City defender’s summer transfer to Monaco was nearly completed, but an injury derailed the plans.
Palhinha was given permission to travel to Germany for a medical examination with Bayern Munich, but the deal fell through at the last minute when Scott McTominay declined to leave Manchester United.
After arriving back in London, the Portugal international inked a new deal, although Silva made a suggestion that club administrators might approve a trade if a different offer was made for the 28-year-old.
“I am completely confident that they are dedicated to us,” Silva remarked.
However, I have no control over what occurs in the market. I’m not the one to say.
“I’m not sure what other teams are searching for or whether they plan to make an offer.
“It’s something I’m not considering,”
Silva anticipates a quiet transfer window as the team looks to recruit players to strengthen the roster while also adhering to the Premier League’s FFP regulations.
“We’re hoping to see what we can and to be clear about what we can do financially, so I expect it to be a quiet month,” he stated.
“There will be more clarity in the coming days.”
Due to injuries, Tim Ream and Adama Traore will not be able to play in Friday’s FA Cup match at Craven Cottage against Rotherham. Fode Ballo-Toure, Alex Iwobi, and Calvin Bassey will be away on AFCON duty.
