West Ham now interested in signing £40m-rated Premier League captain

West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Wolves captain Max Kilman, with the Irons previously keen on the centre-back.

The 26-year-old defender has been in impressive form under Gary O’Neil this season following a summer where Kilman was linked with a £40m move away from Wolves.

Tottenham were reportedly interested in Kilman with Liverpool also linked with a move for the Wolves skipper, who ultimately stayed at Molineux last year.

And now, according to TalkSport, Kilman is wanted by West Ham, with David Moyes’ side interested in the centre-back as Wolves could be forced into a position to sell their star defender.

As per the report, Wolves’ have remain under strict financial restrictions in the transfer market if they’re to stay on the right side of Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules.

Yet selling Kilman could give O’Neil the funds needed to make some much-needed signings in January, with West Ham clearly eager to add the defender to their ranks.

West Ham are back to their best this season with Moyes guiding the Irons through their UEFA Europa League group with ease whilst also keeping up the pressure to finish in the top-seven.

And recruitments in January could be what fires West Ham on to reach that next level, with Kilman the exact sort of signing the Hammers could do with making.

Premier League experienced and a leader for a top club, Kilman is at a stage in his career where he should be playing European football.

And West Ham can give the centre-back just that, with a January move something that might appeal to Kilman this month if an offer is made.
