Hull City not pursuing move for six-goal ace amid Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town links

A six-goal star is not being pursued by Hull City despite connections to both Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town.

Rumors that Hull City’s manager, Liam Rosenior, is connected to Derby County winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing are “nothing,” according to Rosenior.
According to BBC’s Alex Howell on X, Hull City, Birmingham City, and Huddersfield Town are among the Championship teams that have been linked to the League One player.

Under Paul Warne, Mendez-Laing, 31, has been playing well for Derby this season and is now trying to help the team get promoted from the third division.

The Tigers have no intention of luring him to MKM Stadium during the forthcoming January transfer window, and according to a HullLive story, Rosenior has stated: “Was he? I haven’t heard of that. No, that is not the case. I would go directly to Derby if I was interested in one of their players. My relationship with them is good. That is literally the first time I have heard Nat’s name.

Hull City position delineated
Given that Rosenior is acquainted with Mendez-Laing from Derby, it is easy to understand why Hull has been associated with him. It seems, nevertheless, that the Tigers will be shopping around next month for more offensive reinforcements.

They are now outside the play-offs due to goal differential with Sunderland, but if they defeat Blackburn Rovers tonight and other results go their way, they might move back into the top six.

For the second part of the campaign, Rosenior may use a little extra firepower, but supporters will be happy to hear that Mendez-Laing will not be traveling to East Yorkshire. The positions of Birmingham and Huddersfield, however, are still unknown at this time.

This season, he has made 25 appearances for the Rams in all competitions, contributing 10 assists and 6 goals to help them move up to third place.

With almost 400 games played, the attacker has a wealth of experience as a Football League player. The quick wide player has previously played for Wolves, Peterborough United, Sheffield United, Cambridge United, Rochdale, Cardiff City, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth, and Shrewsbury Town.
