Mizzou Secures Top QB Prospect for 2026 Recruiting Class
The Missouri Tigers continue to build momentum for their 2026 recruiting class, landing a major addition on Friday. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff secured a commitment from highly regarded quarterback Gavin Sidwar, a standout from La Salle College High School in Warrington, Pennsylvania.
Sidwar, a 4-star recruit, chose Mizzou over offers from several notable programs including Ole Miss, Duke, Maryland, Syracuse, and UCLA. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, he’s ranked as the No. 23 quarterback nationally and the No. 9 overall player in Pennsylvania for the 2026 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.
While Missouri’s 2026 class is still in its early stages with just three commitments so far, Sidwar instantly becomes the top-rated prospect in the group.
Drinkwitz has built strong recruiting momentum in recent years, securing top-20 high school classes in both 2024 and 2025, while also excelling in the transfer portal with top-15 classes in consecutive years — including the No. 6 ranked transfer class for 2025.
