Kameron Cody Pledges to Clemson, Strengthening Tigers’ 2026 Recruiting Class

Zaria, Nigeria — April 2, 2025

Three-star defensive tackle Kameron Cody has officially committed to Clemson University, adding depth to the Tigers’ already impressive 2026 recruiting class, which currently ranks second nationally. Cody’s decision brings Clemson’s total commitments to 13, placing them in a tie for fourth place in the country.

Standing 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 285 pounds, Cody is from Savannah, Georgia, where he plays for Benedictine Military School. Throughout his high school career, he has shown remarkable development, improving in strength, size, and technique. In his junior season, Cody accumulated 89 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks over 12 games.

Cody’s connection to Clemson dates back to his seventh-grade year, when he attended a basketball camp on campus. This early experience left a strong impression and played a key role in his decision to commit.

While being pursued by several top programs like LSU, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Arizona State, Cody’s long-standing admiration for Clemson, combined with the efforts of the coaching staff—especially defensive line coach Nick Eason—ultimately led him to choose the Tigers.

His commitment marks the eighth for Clemson in March, following the success of the Junior Elite Retreat, which helped draw top recruits.

Clemson’s head coach, Dabo Swinney, expressed excitement about Cody’s commitment, praising his potential and the positive impact he will have on the team’s defensive line in the coming years.
