OFFICIAL: Buffalo Bills Now Finalize Another Top Veteran Experienced Star To Blockbuster Deal

Three Bills free agent signings who will provide the biggest impact in 2025
The Buffalo Bills didn’t make too many additions in free agency, but the few they did sign are expected to play a large role with the team. Buffalo took care of a large portion of their needs heading into the draft and set themselves up to draft the best player available in Round 1.

From Joey Bosa to Josh Palmer, the Bills handled free agency as best as you could’ve hoped for. On paper, the team looks very good less than a month before the first round of the draft.
Buffalo’s biggest names, Josh Palmer and Joey Bosa, are coming into position groups that are going through a mini-rebuild, and head coach Sean McDermott will be relying on them to lead each unit. Let’s take a look at three additions that will make the biggest impact this season.

WR Josh Palmer
The Bills were noticeably missing a deep-threat receiver last year, going with more of a tall group of pass catchers. Palmer fills that void perfectly as the Bills shift away from the big-body receivers. Last year, Palmer totaled 39 receptions for 584 yards and one touchdown with nine yards per target.

As of right now, Palmer is expected to be the third receiver, behind second-year receiver Keon Coleman and slot receiver Khalil Shakir. Palmer should see an uptick in production now that he’s not the featured pass catcher in the offense.

DE Joey Bosa
Bosa may have been written off due to his extensive injury history, but he’ll play a large role on Buffalo’s defensive line. While starting in 9 out of 14 games, Bosa totaled five sacks, 22 tackles, and 13 quarterback hits.

Bosa likely won’t be seeing the same snap percentage as he did with the Los Angeles Chargers, which should help keep him healthy later in the season. Whoever the Bills add between now and the season won’t take away any production Bosa will have in Buffalo. Bills fans should be excited about this addition, despite what you may hear from the national media.

S Darrick Forrest
Forrest may be the most underrated signing of the Bills offseason. He is a talented safety who got a bad wrap with the Washington Commanders in 2024. The last time Forrest was a consistent starter was in 2022, starting in 11 out of 17 games where he totaled four interceptions, two forced fumbles, nine passes defended, and 88 tackles.
