DISTURBING NEWS: A New Crisis In Duke Blue Devils Men’s Basketball As Caleb Casts Doubt On His Future Following Startling Claims About College Basketball
As the renowned ESPN analyst Dick Vitale had prophesied, the top-seeded Florida Gators and Duke Blue Devils each passed their individual tests in Saturday’s Elite Eight round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Prior to Saturday’s games, Vitale said that Florida’s offense would allow them to outlast the Texas Tech Red Raiders, who were ranked third. Additionally, he stated that
thought that Duke’s defense would make the difference against the No. 2 seed Alabama Crimson Tide, and predicted to see the Blue Devils make it to the Final Four.
Vitale returned to his predictions after Duke defeated the Crimson Tide 85-65, highlighting Duke’s outstanding performance in particular.
“I stated in previous tweets that the @DukeMBB defense will make the difference, and that @AlabamaMBB’s 65 is unique. With the help of the amazing Diaper Dandies, Duke triumphs 85-65.
Veterans who have won. Vitale, 85, said on X, “Congratulations to @JonScheyer & staff for a great job of getting them to play as a TEAM.”
Throughout the 2024–25 NCAA basketball season, Duke has repeatedly demonstrated that it can win games with either its devastating offense or its stifling defense, making it one of the most balanced teams in the country.
With an adjusted offensive rating of 130.1 and a defensive rating of 90.5, the Blue Devils are ranked first and fourth in the country, respectively, according to KenPom. With a 58.9 effective field goal % and a 41.5 effective field goal percentage against the Crimson Tide, the Blue Devils were outstanding on both ends of the court against Alabama.
