Benny Sieu-Imagn Images Share The Milwaukee Bucks were one of the NBA’s busiest teams leading up to this year’s trade deadline. Of course, the most notable move that they made was trading Khris Middleton to the Washington Wizards for Kyle Kuzma. As part of that trade, Milwaukee also sent AJ Johnson Jr. to Washington, and Patrick Baldwin Jr. was sent to the Bucks. Baldwin was traded to the San Antonio Spurs for cash shortly after. But after that trade went down, Milwaukee made another deal that was arguably just as impactful. In a somewhat unexpected move, the Bucks traded former first round pick MarJon Beauchamp to the Los Angeles Clippers for Kevin Porter Jr. Porter has been the kind of offensive producer the Bucks have needed on their bench. He is able to create his own shot and play staunch defense when called upon to do so. Indeed,

he has been far more productive in his short seven-game tenure with Milwaukee than Beauchamp had been in his first two-and-a-half seasons. He appeared in 126 games in two-and-a-half seasons, averaging 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per game.

The former first round pick did not play much for Los Angeles either. In three games with the Clippers, he averaged 4.0 points and 1.0 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per game. Ezoic Apparently, though, it was enough for Los Angeles to decide they did not want to keep using a roster spot on Beauchamp. Earlier on Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reported that he was being waived: Ezoic Ezoic As seen in the post above, Los Angeles is awarding his roster spot to Jordan Miller, who had been on a two-way contract. Interestingly, with a two-way contract now open in Los Angeles, the Clippers signed the aforementioned Patrick Baldwin Jr., a product of UWM and Wisconsin native, to a two-way deal.
