The Minnesota Vikings have added another coach who is regarded as a rising star to take Grant Udinski’s place on Kevin O’Connell’s coaching staff after he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars a few weeks ago.
Jordan Traylor has been named by the organization as their new assistant quarterbacks coach. Traylor has been a member of the coaching staff of the New Orleans Saints for the last six seasons.
In college, Traylor played quarterback for Texas A&M. He proceeded to the University of Texas after leaving College Station, where he worked with the team’s wide receivers and quarterbacks for two years as a graduate assistant. Prior to joining the coaching staff of the Saints, he worked as an offensive analyst and with the quarterbacks at the University of Arkansas.
He has worked in New Orleans in a number of capacities. Prior to switching to the offensive side of the field in 2023, where he worked with the Saints’ tight ends and quarterbacks, he spent two seasons as a defensive assistant after serving as a scouting assistant for his first two seasons.
Jeff, Traylor’s father, is the University of Texas-San Antonio’s head football coach.
It is hoped that Traylor’s appointment would enable the Vikings’ offensive line coaching staff to continue to produce at the same caliber as they did the previous year.
