After a strong third season, the Las Vegas Raiders re-signed a new UDFA.
With lots of free agents and $99.5 million in salary room to work with, the Las Vegas Raiders will have a busy offseason. Given that their pass defense finished in the middle of the pack in terms of catches, receiving yards, passing touchdowns, and interceptions, highlighting one of Las Vegas’ defensive team’s shortcomings is secondary. The Raiders’ former undrafted free agent, who had a strong third season, is one of four important defensive backs scheduled to become free agents.
Isaiah Pola-Mao signed a three-year, $2,570,000 undrafted free agent deal during the 2022 offseason, and he just finished the last year of it. He will be a restricted free agent when he hits free agency. After replacing Marcus Epps, who suffered an ACL tear in Week 3, Pola-Mao had a strong third season, setting career highs in tackles, pass deflections, forced fumbles, starts, and snaps. In 17 games and 14 starts, he totaled 954 (86%) snaps with 89 tackles, two TFLs, one sack, five pass deflections, and two forced fumbles.

The agreement is for two years and has a maximum value of $8.45 million, as Rapoport notes. The nephew of Troy Polamalu and a former undrafted free agency safety, he has a two-year deal.
