The 2024 season was extremely poor for the Las Vegas Raiders. They had a 4-13 record, their third consecutive losing season, and finished last in the AFC West. Along with an even worse rushing attack that ranked 32nd in rushing yards per game (79.8), their offense was incredibly inefficient, tied for 28th in points per game (18.2). They have $92.6 million in cap space going into the offseason, though, according to Spotrac,
so they have room to add some big players. Running back Najee Harris, who USA Today’s Tyler Dragon says is the best fit for the former Pittsburgh Steeler, might be one of those additions. “The Las Vegas Raiders played last year without a starting-caliber quarterback or running back,” the writer said. Since joining the league, Harris, who was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has shown remarkable consistency. He has accumulated at least 1,000 yards in every season, for a total of 4,312 yards and 28 touchdowns in 1,097 rushing attempts. During his rookie season, Harris was also selected to the Pro Bowl. Given that Harris’ market value is $9.2 million a year, the Raiders wouldn’t have had to spend a fortune if they had expressed interest in this trade.
