Considering the Knicks’ performance in the game, they mostly relied on Josh Hart (17 points) and All-Star Jalen Brunson (36 points) to carry out the offensive heavy lifting. Their bench continued to struggle, scoring 28 points during the game, while Towns, Mikal Bridges, and Precious Achiuwa combined for 23 points on 9-27 shooting from the field.
New York had more than enough offensive talent to put up a bigger fight against Boston, even without Anunoby.
