I think my Topps Chrome Rookie auto[graph] super is awesome. You do realize that I didn’t have a [MLB debut] patch? That’s the wildest pastime at the moment. Because he is a card collector himself, Jung also understands them. It takes a lot of time for athletes to autograph balls, jerseys, cards, and other items. When Jung signs, he considers the fans.
“It’s definitely a game I play with myself,” Jung remarked. “It’s not too hard; my signature is quite easy and straightforward. I simply want it to be readable because I recall looking at signatures as a child and collecting cards and thinking, “Oh, that one is awful.” Or something like, “Dude, I can’t recall who that is.” You can’t even get a letter out of it if it’s not on a card, if it’s smeared, or if it’s on a baseball or whatever. Jung occasionally enjoys playing cards for pleasure as well. He wants his signature to be readable, and occasionally he will include Easter eggs in them. He waited for it to emerge in November after giving himself a mustache and spectacles on a card. He once signed one under his moniker, “The Jungle Cat.”
