According to reports, the Texas Rangers will stream their games on Victory+ for the 2025 Major League Baseball season.
With this deal with Victory+, the Rangers will become the second professional club from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to leave Bally Sports, along with the Dallas Stars.
The Rangers, Stars, and Dallas Mavericks have all declared their plans to leave Bally Sports as the organization continues to struggle with insolvency issues, according to The Dallas Express.
The Mavericks launched a streaming service dubbed MavsTV that would stream more than 70 games from the 2024–25 season, while the Rangers and Stars have switched to Victory+ after splitting with Bally Sports.
On Tuesday, Victory+ shared a teaser on social media regarding the
Neil Leibman, chairman of Rangers Sports Media and Entertainment Company, described the agreement in a press release as a “tremendous first step” in enabling the club’s supporters to attend as many games as possible.
“We believe Rangers fans will appreciate the familiarity, convenience, and simplicity of this service,” he continued, adding that Victory+ has established itself as a dependable streaming destination for a number of professional sports clubs in recent months.
Since Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts stated during the summer that the streaming service was seeking other clubs and was keeping the door open for additional Dallas-Fort Worth teams to join, the Rangers’ action is not surprising.
