Tennessee Football Incoming Freshmen Poised to Make An Immediate Impact In 2025 Season
The 2025 season will see Tennessee football’s incoming freshmen make an immediate impression.
According to 247sports, Tennessee football boasts the eleventh-best class in the country. Which of these freshmen will contribute to the Volunteers right away?
The obvious response to this query is David Sanders Jr. According to the 247 sports composite, the five-star offensive lineman from Charlotte, North Carolina, is the fifth-best player in the nation. He will join an offensive line that has lost three of its key players. Sanders Jr.’s performance in camp will determine whether he starts on the first day, but his potential alone will provide the team depth right away. Sanders has already been on campus and took part in the pregame drill before the game against Ohio State.
Because of the way the Volunteers cycle that unit, four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell and Mariyon Dye will undoubtedly give depth to the defensive front and maybe get some snaps. According to 247Sports, Dye is the 12th-best defensive lineman in the nation, and Campbell is ranked 33rd overall.
Due to the transfer portal, the running back room is completely empty after losing SEC offensive player of the year Dylan Sampson and losing Khalifa Keith and Cameron Seldon. Three-stars Justin Baker and Daune Morris may be able to take advantage of this and establish themselves early in 2025.
Holden Staes, a tight end who transferred to Indiana, may be replaced by Da’Saahn Brame, a four-star tight end from Derby, Kansas. According to 247Sports, Brame was the fifth-best tight end in the 2025 class.
