West Brom is now vying for a “fantastic” player for a low January cost.
According to a recent source, West Bromwich Albion is in the running to recruit a “fantastic” player this month for a low cost.
The most recent West Brom boss
Carlos Corberan departed the Baggies to join Valencia before Christmas, and the team is currently looking to replace him. Several managers have been connected to the position. The former England
West Brom was interested in hiring temporary manager Lee Carsley, however it is rumored that he rejected the Championship team without providing an explanation.
John Eustace of Blackburn Rover is another manager who has been connected to the position. Since coming to Ewood Park at the close of the previous season, Eustace has performed admirably. Rovers is currently vying for a spot in this season’s play-offs after he turned them from a team struggling at the bottom of the standings. Another contender for the Baggies is Liverpool coach Johnny Heitinga, who has been strongly associated with the position and is reportedly respected by the club’s leadership.
Another manager that has been floated as a potential replacement for Corberan is Luke Williams of Swansea City. There has been an update about that prospect, though, and it is said that despite Williams’ outstanding record at Swansea City, West Brom does not consider him a viable candidate to take over as manager.
