Cade Klubnik, the quarterback for Clemson, says he will return to college football in 2025.
Clemson should start the upcoming autumn as one of the best teams in the nation as Cade Klubnik is officially scheduled to return in 2025.
In his hometown of Austin, Texas, Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik produced an outstanding game versus Texas, making him one of the greatest individual victors from the first round of the College Football Playoffs. People all around the country were raving about the junior’s 336-yard, 3-touchdown performance via the air, and some even speculated that he would look into his NFL possibilities this offseason.
Klubnik dispelled that rumor on Monday when he declared his plan to rejoin Clemson in 2025. Klubnik stated, “The story isn’t over,” in a social media post on X that included highlights from his 2024 season. See you all in 2025.
Even if this was always going to happen, it is still great news for the Tigers. This is due to the fact that Klubnik’s return probably positions Clemson as a top-10 team in the preseason rankings.
The Tigers will be well-stocked come autumn as seven of their offensive and eight of their defensive starters from the Texas game are eligible to return. Additionally, the program is strengthening some of the weaknesses that caused issues this season by adding a top-30 high school recruiting class to the mix.

But Klubnik will be the center of attention. After an exceptional junior campaign, he has placed himself in that position.
The finest passer in the ACC outside of Cam Ward, he threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns with just six interceptions. Klubnik also rushed for seven additional touchdowns and 463 yards.
The former blue-chip prospect had a breakout season in 2023, his first season as the starting quarterback for the Tigers, throwing for just 2,844 yards and 19 touchdowns while being picked off nine times.
Fans of Clemson will be eager to see how high he can set the bar in 2025 because of this. Klubnik is a favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, while others believe he will guide the Tigers back to the College Football Playoffs, where it is hoped Clemson will make more of an impact than they did in 2024. Regardless of the expectations, though, 2025 will undoubtedly revolve on the Tigers’ star quarterback.
