The twin sons of 2001 National Champion Carlos Boozer, who played for the Blue Devils, will announce their college decisions on Thursday, October 10. They have been considering Duke, Miami, and Florida, though reports indicate that Florida is no longer in contention.
Over the past month, both players took unofficial visits to these three schools. Their latest trip to Duke occurred on August 31, followed by visits to Florida and Miami. Last November, they visited Duke for an official event when the Blue Devils faced Arizona in a much-anticipated game.
Cameron Boozer, the higher-ranked twin, is currently the No. 2 player in the Class of 2025, just behind AJ Dybantsa. Speculation has existed since last summer that Boozer could be the top high school player in the nation, alongside current Duke freshman Cooper Flagg, who was also a 2025 prospect at that time, and Dybantsa, who was then a 2026 prospect.Cayden Boozer, a promising 6-foot-4 point guard, is ranked No. 21 in the 247Sports Composite rankings. Each brother has a distinct path ahead; Cameron is viewed as a strong one-and-done candidate and a likely lottery pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, while Cayden might benefit from spending several years in college.
Duke currently has no commitments from any Class of 2025 prospects, while Miami has secured one verbal commitment from Matthew Able, a 4-star shooting guard ranked No. 98 nationally.
While no official predictions have been made regarding the Boozer twins’ decisions, Duke is optimistic about its chances.
