USC Football: LSU To Test 3 Defensive Freshman vs. Trojans High Octane Passing Attack

USC’s defense is set to leverage the experience of their six transfers by placing them in starting positions. Meanwhile, LSU will depend on several freshmen to take the field against the Trojans.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly discussed his defensive strategy with reporters, revealing that three freshmen would be crucial in countering Lincoln Riley’s strong offense. He indicated that defensive tackle Ahmad Breaux would see early action, and cornerback PJ Woodland along with safety Dashaen Spears would also be key contributors in Sunday’s game in Las Vegas.

Although USC Football’s secondary might be vulnerable, they’ll need to deal with a strong duo of pass rushers. Bradyn Swinson and Harold Perkins Jr. totaled 46 pressures and eight sacks between them. Additionally, watch for Tigers sophomore edge rusher Da’Shawn Womack, who as a freshman managed eight pressures in just 79 defensive snaps.College football rankings: USC ends the season at No. 12 in final AP Top 25 poll (1/10/23) - Sports Illustrated USC Trojans News, Analysis and More
