With the Golden State Warriors failing to make the playoffs, there are pressing inquiries regarding the team’s future trajectory. During an appearance on TNT’s Inside the NBA after receiving the 2024 Clutch Player of the Year award, Warriors’ standout Steph Curry reflected on the disappointing season and addressed the team’s upcoming plans.
“The disappointing aspect was falling short by just three wins to secure a playoff berth and engage in a playoff series,” Curry lamented. “Even in instances like our game against Sacramento in the play-in tournament, if it were the playoffs, we could strategize to bounce back from being down one game in the series. Despite encountering hurdles earlier in the season due to various factors, it’s evident that we’re not far from where we want to be. Sustaining excellence over an extended period necessitates making adjustments.”
Regarding those adjustments, Curry remarked, “In moments of defeat, it’s essential to introspect and identify areas for improvement. We’re fortunate to have the offseason to address these concerns. There will be extensive discussions with management and Coach Kerr to chart our path back to our expected level of performance. While I haven’t outlined specific needs, we’re committed to resolving them over the summer.”
