Buffalo Bills’ general manager, Brandon Beane, hinted at potential activity in free agency post the NFL Draft, with one analyst suggesting that the Bills consider former Dallas Cowboys receiver, Michael Gallup.
According to Bleacher Report’s Matt Holder, Gallup wouldn’t replace Stefon Diggs but could provide a reliable option for quarterback Josh Allen. Holder emphasized the need for the Bills to arm Allen with more offensive weapons following Diggs’ departure to the Houston Texans and Gabe Davis’s signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Holder noted that Gallup, who had a standout season in 2019 but experienced a decline in performance due to injury and other factors in subsequent years, presents an opportunity for the Bills to bolster their receiving corps.
Furthermore, speculation suggests that the Bills might not wait until after the draft to address their receiver situation. The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia proposed the possibility of the Bills trading up in the first round to secure LSU’s Malik Nabers, a move that could provide immediate assistance in filling the void left by Diggs.
Buscaglia highlighted the potential benefits of adding Nabers, describing him as one of the draft’s most promising receivers who could contribute significantly to the Bills’ offense alongside Josh Allen.
