Huddersfield Town are optimistic about Bojan Radulovic’s fitness for the upcoming match against Preston North End on Tuesday. Should Radulovic be available, manager Andre Breitenreiter faces the task of determining the most effective attacking lineup. Despite facing numerous injuries throughout his tenure, Breitenreiter finds himself with a wealth of attacking options, a situation he hasn’t experienced before.
Following a dramatic 1-0 victory over Millwall, Breitenreiter praised his team’s defensive efforts as much as their attacking prowess. He emphasized the need for the right mentality and passion, along with finding tactical solutions in possession, to achieve success. While pleased with their recent performance, Breitenreiter highlighted the importance of making improvements, particularly in the opening stages of matches.
With several key players sidelined, including Jack Rudoni and Radinio Balker, Huddersfield aims to adapt and find effective solutions. Breitenreiter indicated that Radulovic sustained a minor injury in the previous match but is expected to train later in the day. Despite this setback, the rest of the squad remains fit, and there are no significant updates on injured players.
The January signings of Rhy Healey and Radulovic have boosted the team’s attacking output, with goals scored in each of the last three games. However, Breitenreiter also values their defensive contributions and emphasizes the importance of strikers displaying discipline and commitment in defensive duties. This defensive solidity has resulted in two clean sheets in the last three matches, which Breitenreiter believes can boost the players’ confidence.
Nevertheless, Breitenreiter faces challenges in managing player fitness, as many may not be able to play the full 90 minutes due to limited match fitness.
