Swindon Town’s future remains uncertain as they navigate discussions about the role of Charlie Austin within the squad. Austin’s presence is valued for his wealth of experience and scoring prowess, making him a valuable asset for the team.

Since his return to the Robins, Austin has showcased his goal-scoring ability, tallying 18 goals in 50 games, with nine of those goals coming this season alone.

Having initially joined Swindon as a promising youngster from Poole Town in non-league football in 2010, Austin made an immediate impact, netting 37 goals in 65 appearances during his initial spell with the club.

After his time at Swindon Town, Austin embarked on various stints at clubs like Burnley, QPR, Southampton, and West Brom, where he competed in the Premier League before venturing to Australia.
