Former Birmingham City player Nicolai Brock-Madsen has announced his retirement. Birmingham signed Brock-Madsen to strengthen their attacking lineup. Prior to joining the English club, he progressed through the ranks at his local team, Randers, scoring 19 goals in 108 matches. During his four years at St. Andrew’s, he made eight appearances but failed to score for the championship team. Brock-Madsen struggled to secure a consistent spot in Birmingham’s first team and was loaned out to PEC Zwolle in his second year, where he impressed by scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances.

After his stint at Birmingham, Nicolai Brock-Madsen was loaned out to Cracovia in Poland and St Mirren in Scotland to gain more playing time. Five years ago, he departed Birmingham on a permanent deal. AC Horsens offered him an opportunity, and he chose to return to his homeland of Denmark. After spending two seasons at the Forum Horsens Stadium, the attacker then returned to his roots. Brock-Madsen has spent the last two seasons back at Randers, including a loan spell at FC Fredericia in the Danish second tier. However, he parted ways with them last summer and has since been considering his options as a free agent.

He has now chosen to retire from his playing career and will contemplate his next steps.
